Who Are We

Who are we?

We are Glynn and Yvonne Williams and we purchased The Fox in the year 2000 after having slaved for Whitbread's for some twenty years, running large food-led establishments, like Brewer's Fayre. When all our creativity and thought processes had been taken away from us and boil in the bag soup arrived. When microwaved food became the norm and de-frosting became the most demanding culinary skill required, we knew it was time to do our own thing.

So what was our mission?

Firstly ; to become human again.

Secondly ; to establish a brilliant, traditional pub where we could provide real, freshly prepared, home cooked food at sensible prices, giving true value for your hard earned money.

Thirdly ; to create an A La Carte Restaurant where you could understand the menu and not be intimidated by over-pompous nonsense.

Fourthly ; and most important - to make people smile.

Helping us in our quest is our Manager Christopher Burns, Head Chef Shane and Christine who counts all the money and hopefully makes us a profit. Also our terrific team of handsomely paid, humble and willing servants.

Oh - and Jack the black Labrador, always eager to make an appearance when asked.
