Our lovely bar dates back to the early 1800's. Then it was licenced for two horses and twenty persons. Today we can accommodate up to 80 persons, most of whom eat like the horses we no longer have. Good food, real ales, log fires and friendly folk are what the Fox Inn is all about. What you will find here is a true country pub with bags of character providing superb food and drink at sensible prices,everyday of the week. There is a local tale of 'The Beast of Roby Mill'. A large, ugly, dog-like creature the size of a small deer and indeed the said beast has been sighted by more than one or two of our regulars, on numerous occasions. Although we can't promise you a sighting, we do find that six or seven pints of Stella Artois, or something similar, can sometimes mysteriously make the unexpected happen. After all...a publican is one who does put you in touch with the spirit world!!
